About Me

Carnel Jones, MS, LPC

Compassion Therapeutic Counseling Services, LLC, CEO

I have always been interested in the area of human behavior and mental health. As a young child, I oftentimes witnessed my youngest brother struggle emotionally throughout his life. Feeling powerless and overwhelmed at that time to help in any effective way, I made it my life’s goal to educate myself in psychotherapy and behavioral health. As an Undergraduate, I began working in the area of family violence, where I grew passionate about helping partners and their children struggling with domestic violence and an unhealthy family system. I expanded my area in this arena where I begin working with children and teenagers in dating violent situations and children who also suffered abuse and unhealthy parenting habits by their parent(s).

Nine years later, I turned my focus back toward mental health, where I later earned a graduate degree in mental health counseling, and I also attained licensure for the state of Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Since that time, I have had many wonderful opportunities throughout my career in my community to learn, share, and grow in this field.

I am now currently the owner and CEO of Compassion Therapeutic Counseling Serviced, LLC; where I provide Individual Psychotherapy, Couples Therapy, Family TherapyGroup Therapy, and other additional resources and support.

I believe that the clients I have worked with and emotionally supported, have been motivated and committed to making positive changes in their lives. I love that I am able to provide my clients with adequate tools and techniques that will benefit each of them to reach their fullest potential as they move strongly towards optimal mental health.

When it comes to the field of Psychology, I understand that it is constantly changing and evolving. With that being said, I am focused on staying aware of the latest research and changes by keeping myself engaged in annual CEU training, research articles, DSM 5, and books in the area of mental health treatment and therapy.

I am so glad you are here, and on behalf of Compassion Therapeutic Counseling Services LLC, welcome!
